We contacted Jacob's Ladder based on recommendations from neighbors who had recently had work performed. They were very thorough in explaining options and different price points for siding and windows. The workers were prompt, professional and courteous. They cleaned up areas before leaving for the day and took care not to completely trample items in our flower beds. Additionally, they were able to resurface our deck and paint our exterior doors. In regards to the kitchen remodel, Jacob's Ladder arranged meetings with a kitchen designer to provide various layout options to make our kitchen more user friendly. Once layout finalized, were were given an timeline for the renovations. The project was delayed a couple of weeks due to a special order garden window that took longer to receive from the manufacturer than anticipated. We were kept abreast of these changes. During the renovations the Jacob's Ladder staff took care to ensure that we had basic kitchen functionality, i.e. working kitchen sink, refridgerator, microwave. Our overall experience was positive. We contacted Jacob's Ladder for a quote after several of our neighbors used them for siding and other projects. They provided a competitive quote, and started work a few weeks after we signed the contract. The workers on-site were very polite and tried to minimize disruption to our daily routine, and handled slight changes to the scope of work with aplomb and flexibility. The work took longer than expected due to some ordering mix-ups, as well as heavy rain, but that was out of their control, and Seth was upfront about delays, and estimated timing. The project was delayed at no fault of the contractor (due to weather). They did what they said they would do. Their people were professional, cooperative, all spoke English, and everything was cleaned up each day before they left. I was able to communicate via email and got a quick response to all my questions. They even asked permission to work on a Saturday. Needless to say this was a big job and the weather never cooperates. It took a little longer that we had anticipated, but I guess that is to be expected. Working with the company owners and the crew was great. All were friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond anything my wife and I ever expected. For example, when a small piece of the drywall came off around one of the windows during installation, they matched the paint and actually painted the ENTIRE room.
